File:Zuiderdiep.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Category discussion warning

PD license tags has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category.

In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!

National Gallery of Art Open Access Imagery

https://images.nga.gov/en/page/openaccess.html

I asked around on IRC and they referred me to you as far as trying to obtain the roughly 46000+ public domain images for the commons in a non-bot manner. As it stands, I think with enough effort I could write something to scrape those images out of their site, but I feel like it would be mutually beneficial if they were to provide them in a more direct bulk manner. Revent (on irc) suggested that either you or Fae may be able to make contact in a more official way to help ease the process along. Metiscus (talk) 22:41, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

@Metiscus: actually me and User:Wittylama had a (Google) hangout session with them some time ago. NGA is definitely looking into sharing their (public domain) content here. We tried to get User:Dominic on board, but that doesn't seem to have worked out. I already have the code to scrape their website, I used that to create all their paintings on Wikidata, but I rather do the image donation part as a partnership. I'll follow up on the latest email exchange and see what the status is. Multichill (talk) 20:27, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Category clean up

@Multichill: Hello Harry, I was given your details by Wikimedia UK who suggested that you may be able to help me clean up a categories on a group of about 3k images. The categories on these images were created automatically and many do not exists or are obsolete. Several users have told me that it may be possible to run a bot to remove the dead categories? Is this something you may be able to help with? Thanks Jason.nlw (talk) 12:00, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Template:Listed building England

Hi. I wonder whether you would consider amending the Template:Listed building England/en to mention that the number specifies the Heritage England database. Having just added the template to Category:Chirk Aqueduct it struck me as confusing in that the aqueduct spans England and Wales, is listed in both, and is separately listed by CADW (Wales) and Historic England. I am not aware of an online CADW database. Many thanks and best wishes. Oosoom Talk 15:14, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Oosoom - there is a template for {{Listed building Wales}}, though it links to a commercial database and not a government one. Kelly (talk) 17:49, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
Thank you. I hadn't come across that template. It shows a CADW logo, whereas the English template does not distinguish the database nationality at all, which was my original concern. Best Wishes. Oosoom Talk 20:52, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
Oosoom - when English Heritage reorganized and en:Historic England took over responsibility for heritage assets, they adopted a new logo which is unfortunately non-free and which we can't use here at Commons. I suppose we could use something like the Cross of St George. Kelly (talk) 00:25, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
Kelly - that would be a good way to show the English database. Thanks for the explanation. Oosoom Talk 16:34, 6 November 2015 (UTC)

foto Antonius Josephus Verhagen wordt steeds verwijderd

Hoi,
