Obviously, if you gently decide to grant me the permission, your name (or your nickname) and the link of the pictures will be correctly cited in the credits of my publication.
The 2 photos which I would use are:

Groeten, --Meerdervoort (talk) 13:40, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Status of defenseimagery.mil
Hello! Russavia said I could ask you for help. You see, a lot of PD-files have been uploaded from http://www.defenseimagery.mil, an official US DoD media hosting, but some people don't think that we should accept photos from there especially when exact author of work is unknown. For example - here's deletion request filed against my upload. I have an idea of making special licensing template specially for defenseimagery which would stop this misunderstanding and will prevent a lot of deletion requests in future. What do you think? Is this necessary? Best regards, James R. Nockson (talk) 14:56, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
Spanish database
Hi! I want to inform you about a change in Spanish database structure on Spanish Wikipedia lists. Only a minor change. Before, only monuments with an "M" in the field "tipobic=" must be listed, but now, we stated to add other kind of monuments and also we want to include this year other kind of cultural heritage, like gardens, archelogical zones, etc. So, not only M items must be listed, but all of them. The bot could now ignore this field. If I didn't explain enough good, please, ask me. I wrote you because I didn't find where was the place to tell this. Thank you. --Millars (talk) 12:21, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Quesions about WLM
Hi Multichill,
I am on the WLM 2012 team for Wikimedia Israel. If it's alright with you, I would like to ask a few questions regarding the deployment of WLM.
After reading the documentation and tools pages, I couldn't quite figure out how the upload mechanism would be deployed in practice, especially in individual languages. From what I understand, someone needs to create a Commons UploadCampaign. Will we be able to translate the campaign interface only after it's created? Also are pages such as this in TranslateWiki relevant? Will we be able to test the upload system before it's available to the public, and if so how?
Thank you in advance. Cheers, Ynhockey (talk) 20:09, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
- As discussed on irc: We need to setup a new campaign for Israel and translate that here at Commons. Plan is to setup all the campaigns in August. Testing is done at test wikipedia this year. Multichill (talk) 20:26, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi Maarten,
It looks as though the Swedish entry in the Unused images page has somehow mismatched templates. The BBR-template goes with {{BBR}} on Commons.
{{Fornminne}} is for a second category of monuments which, although they took part in WLM2011, still don't have lists on sv.wiki (and therefore aren't in the database). This second list is currently being prepared and should be ready for the 2012 WLM. This brings me to something else I've been thinking about. Should this second type of monument get a second table in the database and if so should the current "monuments_se_(sv)" be renamed e.g. "monuments_se-bbr_(sv)" (and the new one "monuments_se-fmis_(sv)". /Lokal_Profil 14:35, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, we should rename it and align everything like Denmark. Multichill (talk) 16:51, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
- Ok. I'll drop you a line again when the lists are up and the sv-wiki template is constructed. Meanwhile is the template in Commons:Monuments database/Unused images only a typo on the page or is {{Fornminne}} rather than {{BBR}} actually used by the bot? /Lokal_Profil 23:09, 16 April 2012 (UTC)
- We should get this fixed soon. Shouldn't be too hard if we do it together. Multichill (talk) 20:28, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

Hiding a category
Hey Maarten, just wondering why you hid the category Category:US National Archives series: World War II Posters, compiled 1942 - 1945 and if you would object to me unhiding it. It seems to be a useful category for Commons users (rather than a maintenance category). If not, should I add them all to the category's parent, Category:World War II posters from the United States? Kaldari (talk) 19:44, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
- If you intersect something with a souce it becomes a source category and thus hidden. Multichill (talk) 20:32, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
Commons:Wiki Loves Monuments 2011/Monuments database/Statistics
Multichill,
Sonuwe (talk) 18:19, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
- Dat komt omdat jullie niet de het systeem aanhouden, maar een eigen systeem hebben bedacht. De id's horen uniek te zijn, dat zijn ze nu niet. Multichill (talk) 20:31, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
SieBot removals due to admin mistakes
- From here
The images have been restored. However, SieBot removed the transclusion of the images from pages en masse while the images were still deleted, hence my request that SieBot be used to restore those instances. Deryck Chan (talk) 21:56, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
- I don't operate SieBot I'm afraid. Please ask the deleting admin. He caused the mess in the first place. Multichill (talk) 22:32, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
- The deleting admin didn't remove the transclusions, on the other hand. I'm just lost in this loophole of responsibility... Deryck Chan (talk) 23:29, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
