Description
English: "The Raja [Karam Singh] of Putteealla" [also archaically spelt as 'Putteala'; known as 'Patiala State' in modern parlance] by Emily Eden, from "Portraits of the Princess and People of India", 1844, Gift of the Kapany Collection, 1998 to the Asian Art Museum, San Francisco. The Maharaja of Patiala State in 1844 was Karam Singh.
